Duck Hutches

Hi,
I have looked a great deal and could not find any ideas or pictures of a duck hutch. I have about twenty ducklings in the brooder right now and I need to start thinking about a coop for them. Should my duck hutch look like a chicken coop? Is there anything more special about a duck hutch than a chicken coop? I am sorry, but I am sort of lost with how I should make a duck hutch.

Ducks coops are pretty much the same as a chicken coop, besides that duck coops should have little no ramp, as ducks can have a hard time getting up steep ramps. Also, make sure the coop is elevated or has drainage, as ducks will quickly make a muddy mess in their run if given the chance. If you look up "duck coop" on google you will find many great ideas.

Actually same just don’t make your duck house over a foot off the ground.

How many square feet should each duck have in a coop? They would be free range during the day and would be in the coop at night. I have 19 ducks so how many square feet would I need?

Around 5sqft per duck.
