Hello! I have a female jumbo pekin duck who is having some trouble with her leg. She is about eight months old and over the past week or so her leg has become swollen and she won't walk on it. It doesn't appear to be bumblefoot. Someone said that it could be a niacin deficiency. So, I've been giving her dried yeast and garlic chewables for the past two days but they don't seem to be making a difference. Has anybody dealt with anything like this before? If so how did you treat it? Or does the niacin need longer to kick in?
Thanks so much!

What does the bottom of her foot look like that is where we look for bumble. get a pic and post. Wonder if it could also be an injury. any one been chasing her? Ducks legs are pretty fragile even jumping down off the side of the pool can hurt. @mattieferg

Meanwhile, wrap her leg in epsom salt compresses twice a day, try some T-Relief ointment, add a quarter teaspoon of turmeric to some moistened feed once a day . It stains, but it is mildly anti inflammatory.
