Please just check a few times a day around the wound. You may not notice anything, then suddenly there is a huge waxy mass.

I will. Taking them inside is just a last resort for us. Our dogs are our biggest predators and they are inside dogs so it will be very sticky to bring him in.

I'm thinking I Could probably rig up a brooder with window screen so there is a lot of air flow with no bugs. Not sure why I didn't think of that earlier.
