Duck is limping

Pekins are very strong and Drakes are even stronger, so the combination can be tough. My wife could catch and restrain our Pekins, but couldn't hold them because they could always wiggle their wings free and flap her in the head. She also has a hard time holding our Rouen drake - he is pretty strong. I have never had one of my ducks try to bite me so I don't know what to do there. One bit my wife, but only when we were performing foot surgery on it. Otherwise friendly little nibbles only.
My female pekin was always strong too! They love getting their wings free and flapping like crazy! I usually come out with some scratches on me as well! They love me, but mostly when I am not trying to pick them up

I have Muscovy they can put a pretty good hurting on me with their wings if I know I am going to pick them up for some reason I bring a towel out and once caught while still on the floor I wrap a towel around them to keep those wings where they should be.

I will definitely have to try that!

Well, I looked at him this morning and I suspect bumblefoot. He has a bump on the bottom of his left (what I would call heel). He isn’t putting pressure on it. It isn’t black or anything. How do I go about treatment? I plan on getting him an epsom bath, but the only epsom salt I have has lavender essential oil in it. Would that be okay for him to soak in? Or do I need to get just plain epsom salt? Also, would a wound spray for humans work? Or do I need to go to TS and get something specially for animals? I’m trying to work with what I have, but if it doesn’t work I will make a trip to town

That will work..Just don't let him drink the water.

Can you post a picture of the bumble?

I wasn’t able to get a picture this morning. He was quite rowdy. But it just looks like a decent sized lump on the bottom of his foot towards the back. It’s actually the opposite leg than the first picture I took.

Can you take a video of him walking, upload to YouTube or Vimeo, then copy/paste the link here?
