Duck labored breathing

And I recently started giving them oyster shells too, after a few soft shelled eggs.

I have bad luck with my Pekin eating oyster shells. If you haven't seen her eat them, you may to need to train her to eat them.

I personally provide my ducks with oyster shells, some layer feed and duck feed. I find some of mine prefer the layer feed and overall are less likely to have laying issues with some layer feed on the side along with the regular duck feed.

The oyster shells disappear so I know they're getting eaten but I'm not exactly sure if she eats any. The other duck is more food aggressive and I would not be surprised if she ate most / all of it.

What layer feed do you use? I might make a change and give it a shot.

I use a brand that is from a local mill in my area. Any layer feed should work ok as long as it a quality brand.

That is good they are eating the oyster shells. Some ducks can be picky about them. Sounds like yours are not nearly as picky.

I hope she will pull through this. It is hard to see them struggle.

If you are having trouble sleeping, you can always give her another bath and some more calcium.

She's in the bath right now. I'm exhausted but I can't go to sleep and leave her like this. I'll get the calcium at TSC in the morning too.

I didn't see any injectable calcium gluconate.... this was the closest thing that came up.

Yes that is it. Once you open it, you will want to store it in the fridge.

How is she doing this morning?

She seems to be doing better. We got the calcium at TSC so we'llbe giving her that. No egg yet though. I'm not sure what else to do .....

It can sometimes take 24 hours to lay an egg. So unfortunately you have to give it time. That is good that she seems to be feeling a bit better though.
