Duck lays down while I pet her

Every time I go to pet my duck it lays it's whole body on the ground (head and neck too) and it will just sit there and I will keep petting it and then it quacks pretty quite. What does that mean when she does that?

That's pretty much right. Hens show that they are willing to mate by squatting/laying down in submission.
