I have both chickens and ducks ... i have had my chickens for about 8 years now they are all old girls .. they live a life of luxury and produce no eggs ... smiles .. and i also have ducks ... 1 drake 3 adult females and 4 duckling about 6 weeks old now sure of their breeding as they were given to me ... because i lost 2 adults and 8 ducklings to roaming dogs a few weeks back ... my 4 older ducks are muscovy's .. crazy Duck lady the neighbours call me ... !

Welcome to Backyard Chickens - I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. If you have specific duck questions you can post them on the "duck thread." Otherwise the greeters here are pretty good at fielding chicken questions.

I'm sorry for the loss of some of your ducks, we hear a lot of stories about dogs getting poultry with that sad result. I hope you don't have that problem again. It would be nice to see a picture of your ducklings if you care to share, ducklings are so cute.
