Duck mating, help!

So I'm new to ducks, have two black Swedish ducks and one blue Swedish. They are about four months old and the male is definitely trying to start mating. They particularly like to do so in the pool but I haven't seen that they have actually mated yet just ritual type stuff. But today he did mount one of the girls for a minute before getting off. So, I naively thought that I had until next spring to deal with this but clearly I'm wrong.
My question, how long is their mating season and do I need to watch for eggs even though they are still young? Is it just "teenage horniness" so to speak lol or will these guys really start this soon?

Mine are Khakis but they all started laying around 4 months old. A few weeks after the "mating" started. The eggs were not fertile in the beginning though. I think the male has to be older to be fertile -but I'm no expert on this.

Ducks mate all year...Mating season is when their hormones kick into high gear and the Drake is a hormonal mess...lol...That is spring and it lasts about 4 months or more....

My Runners and Buffs mated all year long last year first full year with that breed. My Muscovy's breed spring through fall then take the winter off.
