Duck nest???

What do you do for a nesting spot(for them to lay their eggs) for the ducks inside their duck house??? Do you make nesting boxes for them??? Do you just have alot of fresh straw???? Tell me please

for my ducks i just throw a bunch of straw or hay in there and let them do the rest!

I use 5 gallon buckets with holes cut out. I then fill them with straw and hay and the girls make their nests. I use them for my call ducks.

ya i throw some grass and hay, in with them, you should make a dark and more quiet place then anywhere in the pen where they feel safe and isolated, they will lay in there and eventually go broody!!! which means when they go into a mode where they are always sitting on the eggs.

after you throw the stuff in there like a 4x4 box with a lid and a hole for them to go in, let her do the rest...... she will whip up a cool nest with her feathers and the materials you gave her.

Do ducks move their nest after you get the eggs? I have three female ducks and they hardly lay eggs and when they do it is in a different spot each time. Or is something getting my duck eggs?
