Duck nesting/bedding

What is the best nesting/bedding set-up for my ducks when they start laying? I know they don't need boxes...right? Do they prefer or need an area separate from the daily coop space they are all in? Deeper bedding to "nest" in? Anything in particular for their needs or comfort?

Mine use thick pine shaving and lay in there house usually off in a corner. I have a few cubbie holes too. You could lay a piece of scrap plywood etc up against the wall like half an A frame secure it so it doesn’t fall. That will give them some privacy.

Perfect! I use lots of pine shavings too. Was wondering bout the "privacy" thing so that will work nicely! TY!

I just use pine shavings and they build nests..
