so my duck managed to get his head stuck in the fence and a piece of the fence stabbed him in his nostril , i got it to stop bleeding but if it starts again what’s the best way to clot it & is there anything i can put on it so it doesn’t get infected. (i also put him in the tub so he could duck his head in the water so he could wash it out). it’s started bleeding again and i need help on what to do and how to treat it

we can see where it stabbed him but it clots and then he scratches it and it starts bleeding again or he’ll shake his head to blow it out

Has it stuck all the way through into his upper bill into his mouth? Might be a good idea to have a vet look at him.

You could put some ACV into a bucket of water and let him wash his head in it 1 Tab per gallon of water it is diluted enough it won't sting but ACV can kill some bacteria.

When my gander stuck a hole in his bill I put ACV into his bucket of water and it healed up very nicely.

it was just a end of a fencing and it just poked inside his nostril from where he was trying to lift his head up from getting unstuck, it has stopped bleeding as of right now but i might try that!
