Duck not eating much

How about making a shelter/cover of some kind to protect the food from the elements? Waterfowl usually like wet food, so he might not actually mind a bit of rain in it, too.

I use a big rubber bowl and position a gallon pail of water next to it so they can get a drink with each bite. The food is already wet because it's fermented, but they add quite a bit of water while they eat, too.
