duck not laying eggs

One of my chickens laid her first egg at 11 months of age. Some girls take their sweet time about it. Also hunt around for a hidden nest (if that's a possibility). Hopefully she will lay for you soon.

Check on the tag what the percent protein is for us. It can vary quite a lot in game bird chow from Purina from 12.5% all the way up to 30%. This may or may not be an issue. Your girl may just be a late bloomer. I hope she is working on laying an egg while I type!

If I am looking at the correct one it is a 19% protein(19 %-protein ration to stimulate growth and feathering in birds 6 to 16 weeks of age). They also show a 20% on their website for layer. I don't know if the 1% protein would make that big a difference but it could.

30% protein is that good or bad?
