duck 'on' duckling

ok...new to all this...my blue swed duck is all over one of my 6 week old pekin ducklings..
by 'all over' I mean 'mounting her'....is this the norm? at six weeks, she and her sister are
as big as many of my adult ducks...but?... need some input...

I know what you mean, I tried to integrate 4 younger hens into a group(same size as well), but my drakes just wouldn't leave them alone.
I had to remove the younger ones so the drakes wouldn't molest them or cause the girls to hurt themselves trying to get away. I was also concerned the drakes would drown my younger girls.
I would remove them until they are a bit older, for their own protection.

Totally totally normal. Ducks are driven by hormones, not morals, lol. However, I agree that it's a good idea to separate them and give them some peace until they start exhibiting sexual behaviors of their own (girls have a little "come on" dance they do--when they flatten themselves to the ground and spread their wings, then bob their head at their intended object of desire). Boys can be insatiable and they do tend to like the young girls. Go figure.
