Duck only brooding in AM?

So the crazy btch tryi to brood 25?? Lol.

They think they can but not many are successful at hatching them all
Just hope your pekin isn’t scared of her babies like mine was

I'd remove the oldest and take any new ones. My ducks and chickens will continually add to the nest so you need to watch for that. Good thing you have been marking them.

She got on at 5:42, off at 9:51 .. shes gona make me start drinking early

And she may never commit so don't start to drink just let her make up her own mind. Not much else you can do.

Pulled egg 1-9. Left her 14.

Busted them open for chickens to eat; none have ever formed anything… straihjt yolk

This is how i found them. Minus the few leaves i removed from top

Seperated, then repositioned to check later. Those 5 non numbered I knew when they were laid so i added numbers to them.

The indian runner and swedes eggs arr no longer getting stolen and are in there normal spot

Mom was with rest under shade tree when i got home

She did abandon the nest quick; 2 hatched last nite, one this am.. i got home this afternoon and she was lollygagin the yard with them. I had to snatch uo the last 4 and put them in incubator. I just gave her one and she actually came and got it when it started chirping
