Duck open and closes mouth while swimming

So all and all my 7 month old is 100% healthy. However whenever she takes a bath she'll open and close her mouth a bunch. Maybe shes just excited? Shes always done this but I just want to know the reason why. Not too concerned about her health as she is sassy as heck.

One of my runners does that when she is bathing as well. She is perfectly healthy so I just figured she was either relaxing or just excited.

She is the yellow Buff Orpington. You can see it at the end of the video. They're too cute to not share the whole thing.

Is that her making noise? Just her quirky way I’d say! It’s so funny how they get in go nuts jump out run then turn around and do it again. Very nice set up for them pretty things.

I think I've read somewhere that they do that to clear water from their inner ears. Can't remember where I saw that.... Anyway, mine do that too when they swim and bathe.

It is? That is interesting to me because it is Lovey that does that and she has always been the runt and I can tell she is not the top duck but she is hilarious! Duck behavior is fascinating.
