I'm not sure if my duck or one of my chickens laid this egg. The only chicken i have that could possibly lay an egg is a buff cochin that i got a short time ago. But this egg is slightly green, and much smaller than my other duck's eggs. If it's a duck egg, it is the first egg from my female duck that I'm not sure of her breed. I did find it where the duck likes to hang out in the coop though.

It just looks so different I'm not sure.

Looks like a duck egg to me. Does it have a waxy, smooth texture? Chicken eggs tend to be a little "rougher" and duck eggs have a smooth waxy feel to them.

Looks like my duck eggs so I'd say duck too. Also, I looked up Buff Cochin and it says they lay a brown egg. That should help narrow it down :)

Oh duh, i should have done that.

It was definitely a duck egg. I cooked it up for lunch. Mmm, good.
