Duck or drake?

We are introducing a Rouen to our flock. We were told she is a sexed duck but she looks sondifferent from the rest of the flock we are skeptical. She has spraddle foot so she is sepreate for now with hopes of being in with the flock soon.
*she is very dark
*neck looks as thought the color chages in a ring
*murmers more than quacks

I'd expect a drake to still be in nuptial plumage rather than eclipse. Beak color makes me lean hen.

P.S. I would lean towards a duck, but I would wait more. How old is s/he?

My WH drake just started to molt out of his nuptial plumage last week, so I would think that they would be just starting to molt.

Has she/he quacked at all?

It’s for sure a duck. Whether it’s male or female, I have no idea.
