do it, one is injured so I don’t know if she would do it by choice but this one is often standing on one leg other foot hidden up somewhere, I don’t know if this is a normal thing or I just have an “odd duck” but I think it’s funny.

Interestingly, I very rarely see the Batam ducks do this .

Many birds will do the one foot leg stand when they are very comfortable and feel safe.

I was really surprised to see my Pekins doing this especially considering how much they weigh! I’ve only seen my little snowy call, squeegee, do this once and never seen any of the others attempt it.

Saw my two (wild) Mallards, Donald and Daisy, doing this the other day. Wish I had a pic.
They seem to have gotten quite comfortable with use, once Daisy look for bugs in between my feet!
