Hello everyone. I am needing help with my 5 week old duck. He has one foot that goes underneath him when he walks. Is there a way to fix this? I added niacin to the water to see if it will help any Also got some vitamin stuff you add to the water. Will my poor baby grow out of this situation or do I need to do something to correct it? Please send me some advice on what to do. Thank you

Yes there is help at 5 weeks it may not correct completely but start ASAP by giving liquid b complex. TSC carries a good on in the cattle dept that one will be 1 ml daily over a small amount of feed or a treat so the duckling gets full 1 ml putting it in water is going to dilute it so it’s best to give it straight. Pigeon toes, bowed legs, weak legs lameness is usually caused by a niacin deficiency.

Here is what @Miss Lydia is talking about.

Awesome! Got it. Thank you so much for the quick reply. I got two from TSC and only 1 has this issue. I thought it was something I did by accident taking him out of the tub after their swim. His sister is growing rapidly without trouble. New to Ducks hehehe

You can't over dose what his body doesn't need he will pee out. and you can fashion a shoe for Tony if you think it might help, you can take a piece of plastic [from a butter container or milk jug] cut it to fit his foot wrap in tape to cover the sharp edges place his foot on top and wrap in vet wrap. This will hold his foot in proper alignment and may help while your giving the B complex.

I was really hoping someone would have told me how to correct his foot. Thank you so much. I will try that asap.
