Duck problem...Wet feather? Diarrhea? Am I doing this right?

ALso sunflower seeds are high in selenium. Which leads me to the question, they eat them with the shell on? I am already chopping unsalted peanuts (shells and all) and giving them as an overnight snack in the coop. Do I grind up the sunflower seeds too?
And.... good night!
Whole black oiled sunflower seeds (BOSS) are fine in moderation if they have access to dirt and/or insoluble grit. They are high in fat, so don't give too many.

Yes! I would be really interested to hear what your vet thinks about selenium. In the meantime, I’m concentrating on the high level selenium treats. I have appreciated all advice and info I’ve gotten, but boy do I feel stupid. Selenium wasn’t even on my radar and i
I’m wondering what else I’m missing.

You're doing great! We are all learning something new on here. It takes a village, whether it's in human form or duck form...right?!? I'll let you know what I find out!

Thank you! Also as an update, I think the wet feather Buff might be getting a handle on it. I really expected this to be with her until a molt, but she’s looking drier to me. Before I shut them in for the night, I have been fluffing her dampish feathers with a warm towel and I put ACV in their overnight water source. I usually give them a mid morning snack of packaged kale but my store was out, so I picked up some fresh kale, parsley and dandelion greens. Chopped some of each and gave them that mix yesterday. They are all crazy excited today. Don’t know if the ACV has caught up to them or if they appreciated the new treat. Can I continue using the ACV nightly? I had used it once or twice a week before this. Should it be used as a daily supplement or as a medicine?
