We have 100 Golden Comets and about 30 of this and that in production on our farm.... However, I have zero experience with ducks. Our layers free range in the pasture and climb up an 8 foot ramp into the barn to lay and roost. Would ducks follow the chickens in at dusk so I can shut the door and keep everyone safe????

My pekins follow the chickens in at night, but they do like to stay out later than the chickens, I go out and haze them in when they are young and they do learn to go in along with the chickens

My ducks head inside every night at dusk. Well, the older group does. If they are out foraging free range at duck they run to the dusk house and want to go inside.
