Duck Questions

I would LOVE to hatch ducklings but unfortunately I can not keep ducks due to parents and town ordinences. I was thinking about hatching some for a friend and was wondering about imprinting ducklings.

Can someone inform me on the "imprinting"? If I keep them for a week, can they imprint on another person once I'm out of the picture?

I believe the imprinting takes place within the first day or days of hatching. They can also bond, I am told, which is a little different.
