I have had chickens since April of this year. They are doing amazing! I am thinking of maybe getting ducks in the spring. I was looking at some sites and I think that the saxony are beautiful!! Anyone do ducks and chickens? Can they be together in the same run/ coop? Just wanted some input from people who already own ducks and chickens. Thank you in advance.

I have both but don't keep them in the same house, they each have their own. and free range together. I found my ducks and chickens don't like to be confined together. I have Muscovy's. Saxony are beautiful ducks.

I had both and sort of still do.

    They have their own house.
    They free ranged together.
When they had to be penned up, they were ok, but one chicken was kind of mean to the ducks. Ducks aren't fond of the chickens to begin with.

But after the loss of the other 2 chickens, remaining chicken got her act together and became much nicer to me and the ducks.

DH took this the other day - usually the ducks scatter if the chicken gets too close, but they are penned 95% of the time now, so they are learning to tolerate each other
