Duck refusing to go into the pool?

My Pekin duck has not went into the pool in 4 days. Usually when I change the water they go crazy and take a great bath but she didn't even do that. It snowed the last 2 days and she went out with the other duck and lays by the pool for awhile then goes back inside to eat and repeat until dusk then they both come inside. I have been putting them on the back porch since a predator got our drake. She got some bite Mark's that I cleaned and put antibiotic ointment on. She is eating well, behavior normal except for the pool thing. I did get a pond de-icer and they didn't like it floating so I took the styrofoam out. Any thoughts?

Do you think the pool may have something to do with your drake disappearance? possibly a bird of prey swooped in an grabbed him?

OMG,..I CANNOT TAKE ANYMORE,..I CHECK THEM EVERY 15-20 MINUTES AND I TOOK A PHONE CALL BECAUSE MY 96YR OLD DAD WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL WITH PNEUMONIA, MILD HEART ATTACK AND KIDNEY CANCER. I LOOKED OUT AND SEEN SOME STRANGE TRACKS IN THE SNOW THAT WENT FROM THE POOL WHICH IS 3FT FROM MY BACK DOOR TO THE FENCE SO THEY JUMP A 4FT FENCE, HARD TO SEE WHITE PEKIN FEATHERS AND NOT ALOT OF BLOOD,..I SCREAM AND CALLED FOR HER AND FOUND STRANGE FEET PRINTS, HE MIGHT OF HAD ANOTHER BUT MY GIRLS HEAD WAS GONE AND BACK FILET OPEN,..WINNIE JUST SWIMMING IN THE WATER ..I AM HAVING A BREAKDOWN AS I WRITE. I WENT TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR ALMOST 6 YRS TO FEED HER THEN TOOK HER SO SHE COULD HAVE HER BABIES AND BE SAFE AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS,..I HAVE FAILED HER AND THE FAMILY NO ONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS THESE HORRIBLE OUTBURSTS OR CRYING. I RAISED 22 RABBITS FOR 10 YRS,..GUESS I AM A SUCKER FOR THE UNDER DOG,..I AM JUST SICK

Just breathe, it will work out. Worry about your dad, not your duck.

So sorry. Predators hapoen to all of us though! Focus on your dad now, and cone back to the predator problem later...

And if you have an extra few minutes, get pics of those tracks so we can help you neutralize the predator issue

I am so sorry! Keep this duck you have left secured unless your able to supervise. Sorry about your dad and the loss of your sweet duck

And this new camera I got did not get any footage I am so mad, how did they know, I check them every few minutes and they are only a few feet from the back door which is the doggy door that they go in at night. They sleep on my back porch. There were all kinds of tracks, some of them huge, some looked like they were straight in a row, all of them jumping over the 4ft fence,. I can't loose Winnie, she is not going outside until I get a fortress, she has to be traumatized. She can't be alone, now what,..? I have her back in the house with me and she follows me around. I have table cloths covering my carpets and the gel pads holds alot of water when she wants to be a duck playing in water. Oh I am sick, I lost my babies I was suppose to keep safe I am miserable
