OMG,..I CANNOT TAKE ANYMORE,..I CHECK THEM EVERY 15-20 MINUTES AND I TOOK A PHONE CALL BECAUSE MY 96YR OLD DAD WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL WITH PNEUMONIA, MILD HEART ATTACK AND KIDNEY CANCER. I LOOKED OUT AND SEEN SOME STRANGE TRACKS IN THE SNOW THAT WENT FROM THE POOL WHICH IS 3FT FROM MY BACK DOOR TO THE FENCE SO THEY JUMP A 4FT FENCE, HARD TO SEE WHITE PEKIN FEATHERS AND NOT ALOT OF BLOOD,..I SCREAM AND CALLED FOR HER AND FOUND STRANGE FEET PRINTS, HE MIGHT OF HAD ANOTHER BUT MY GIRLS HEAD WAS GONE AND BACK FILET OPEN,..WINNIE JUST SWIMMING IN THE WATER ..I AM HAVING A BREAKDOWN AS I WRITE. I WENT TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR ALMOST 6 YRS TO FEED HER THEN TOOK HER SO SHE COULD HAVE HER BABIES AND BE SAFE AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS,..I HAVE FAILED HER AND THE FAMILY NO ONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS THESE HORRIBLE OUTBURSTS OR CRYING. I RAISED 22 RABBITS FOR 10[/ATTACH] View attachment 1983467 l

im so sorry this happened to you and your duck it only takes seconds for everything to go wrong. I was watching my chickens on Thursday, left the window for a half a minute and a dog came and killed a chick, ripped down the side of a hen and got ahold of a guinea hen. I felt terrible, I was supposed to make sure they were alright and I let this happen while I was in the house... but you can’t stop everything and you shouldn’t feel bad about that it sounds like you give your ducks a good quality of life, and no matter how an animal dies all that really mattered was the bulk of its life... you’re a good duck parent. The hurt will eventually subside, and it’s okay to feel bad right now, but do not blame yourself.

Some of the foot prints look like a large flying predator not sure on the others.

ide bet the farm that those are fox tracks,

Looking at all the photos i see chipmunk, squirel and rabbit tracks too

Could be too, we dont have raptors here i wouldnt know those tracks
