My 8 month old Muscovy was attacked over three weeks ago. I didn't discover the wound until after it had become infected. I took her to the vet and was given penicillin for her. I also used Vetericyn on the would for a week until it looked almost all healed up. She has not been able to walk at all for over three weeks. My concern is that she even though she can now stand upright, she cannot walk at all. She tries to take a step and ends up face planting. I'm not sure if she's dealing with scar tissue since the wound was under her wing or if maybe the infection has damaged her leg/balance? I have been putting her in my bathtub with enough water to help support her and she will take steps as long as the water is high enough to hold her up. She can swim and seems to enjoy her baths but I'm worried that maybe her circumstances are permanent?
