I finished up most of the duck run, i have to do some more. little things. ... its the far right, yellow coop!!

heres one of my favorite chickens. (not a house chicken) she just deserves to be indoors sometimes!

Is that a Mottled Java chicken? She is very pretty! I have 9 Mottled Java eggs in the incubator.

shes very gentle. a sweet sweet girl.

She doesn't look "round" enough to be a Cochin. I think she's a Mottled Java, which is a rare breed, indeed! Awesome! And glad to hear that she is sweet... I hope mine are, too.

i googled some info on mottle java.... and holy smokes it is my baby!!! atleast a name for her... proper at best!!! it says they are not hardy in the winter/cold.... explains why she hates living in ct.!! ha

I miss the cardinals and blue jays with their grey heads here in the Pacific Northwest. Our blue jays have black heads. Slightly different.
