hi all. im here in the UK with my 5 ducks and one of them has developed a little bumble on his foot. im cleaning him with iodine before soaking in epsom salts, and then after i spray with vetrycin. unfortunately, there are absolutely no manufactures of duck shoes/birdy bootys here in the US, so I've decided to have a crack at making my own.

does anybody know what kind of neoprene i should make them out of? more specifically how thick should it be? any other advice on these would be appreciated.

the reason im not wrapping his foot with vet wrap is because this particular duck will pick it off in seconds,

We used a latex glove to make a boot for ours. Used electrical tape to keep it on since vet tape is indeed to weak.

Have you tried etsy UK?

I use can coozies , by I i mean i buy them and my mom, who is pretty darn handy with a sewing machine makes them for me. The black ones are hime made, the pink storw bought, i like the home made because she puts Velcro on the side which makes it so much easier to get the foot in. Also a spare coozie that i had from somewhere. I replace and wash daily or more if needed
