Duck sitting on nest for hours?? No eggs. Help

My duck has been sitting on her nest for hours. No egg. We dont have male ducks so I'm getting a bit worried. Is this normal?

Has she been laying? Is she pulling feathers? She may be going broody.

One of my ducks, who is 7.5, frequently hangs out in her nest for a long time and has her entire life. I think she enjoys it. She's has regular vet exams and hasn't had any reproductive health issues.

Other times my ducks sitting in their nests for extended periods has indicated an issue. Egg binding or EYP - which I have had diagnosed by a veterinarian. They had other symptoms as well.

Yup! No sooner did I post that. I found the egg. Any tips? I took the egg. Gave everyone some treats etc. She is already back in the nesting area.

You can try destroying her nest everyday. I've had to lock my ducks out of their barn during the day before. Some times people have to keep their birds away from nesting material for a few days if that doesn't work.
