Hello,

My duck Zoey (Rouen/Saxony)

Has been nesting somwhere we where just in the process of getting rid of our drakes

We have Runner Drakes

We have 5 acers and no idea where lots of tall grass and bushes
She has been sitting for a week and a half now.

we don't need babies and are afraid they would be hard to sell because they are mixed

Okay follow her at a distance. Then get her nest of eggs and her and put her in a safe place where a predator can't find her.
I have had to do this several times with a bantam hen who has plenty of places inside the fenced property to nest but always goes outside to find her nesting spot so I hang around when she comes home acting like I am paying her no mind then when she finishes eating I follow her at a distance it does take a while but the 3X she has done this I have been able to follow her and get her and eggs to safety. How many drakes to Ducks do you have since you say your getting rid of your drakes? If you don't want ducklings destroy the nest get rid of the eggs and bring her home and put her in a pen etc for about a week she'll get over it. She is gorgeous by the way.

Oh and depending on where you live as to how polular ducks are. ducklings are precious no matter if full blood breed or mixed so you could probably sell them or give them away.

We have 1 drake..

She is great at hiding her nest..
i think we will let her go..
The drake is Tan & white runner
they would be super cute❤
