Duck sleepy and not very active, breathing heavy.

I have really good news about our little Pekin duckling.:celebrate we talked to someone that has owned ducks for quite a while and she said that she probably just gets really overheated and lies down because of it. That seems much more likely because I often find her and the other ducklings panting. I hope this is the cause, and not heart disease. Looks like she is in the clear.

My three week old pekin duckling Gertie recently about a week ago started breathing heavy, but most recently she started sleeping a lot. we have three ducklings in total. I have taken them all to the vet and the other two though wheezing some, were reported to be healthy while Gertie was said to have heart disease or vitamin E deficiency. I wanted to know whether others have had these similar problems. I just hope it is not heart disease. I have given her the Vitamin E and she already seems better. I have looked everywhere but have not found anything on ducklings having heart disease. Could this be something else?

I have a duck (drake) that is ill.

I found him this way when I let everyone out of their pen this a.m. I looked over and another drake was on top of him, raping him. I think he really hurt him. Now his tail feathers are off to the side. He keeps flexing his tail feathers, diarrhea, will not get up, labored breathing, his quak is silent.
His eyes look good, he is alert, he is eating and drinking. his airways look good.

I think something was going on (respiratory issue?) and he was weak/compromised and the other drake sensed his weakness and added insult to injury.

I have him in my house. I have given him water with electrolytes (drops). Watermelon and tomato. Is there anything else I can give. I have tons of vitamins (human vitamins) and what about Vick Vapo rub?

Please advise, Tina
