Duck squat?

Hi all

I watched one of my Aylesburys (who we think is male) pin one of the khakis down by its neck and the khaki squatted quite happily but nothing came of it as the Ayles tootled off after the khaki made a right noise! does this mean that the knakis are ready to lay as do chicken when they start to squat? weve had the khakis since end of June and we think they were only 4 weeks old at that point......what does everyone think?

Sounds like she is getting ready. I have a magpie cross girl doing the same thing, Ill be looking for eggs heere pretty soon. She might even be laying right now but with 10 other girls about I dont know if id be able to tell which egg is hers!

I just hope she know where to lay in her box and not just plop it out on the coop floor!!
