went to the tractor supply to see what was new in the brooders since they pretty much know me they let me know the babies were in the back till this evening and they had a little duck left from the last batch that seemed kinda sickly. We go in the back, 4 bins filled with barred rocks and different sex links. No ee's or bantams but this little guy was huddled by itself in a corner. They said blue swedish I told em I'd take it. I do have chicks hatching today but no ducklings so it'll get super lovey attention when the family gets here. I do hate he's lone duck wish they would atleast kept 2 together.

my mini weenie Bailey doesn't really care for chicks but everytime we have ducks she stands for hours watching them in their brooder and whining. She looked after the others thats in my avatar picture to. I guess she's a sucker for a duck to lol.

How cute! My Chipoo mix Oreo has been a mother figure to all of the chicks we’ve had with her. Though she doesn’t like them being on her...:idunno🧐

Thats how bay is. But usually we have 6 or more. I guess with it just being one she doesn't feel like she's under attack lol

Little ducky is acting really lethargic. Just kinda no energy, head down most the time acting sleepy. I've been giving it corid water incase it has coccidia from being around chicks. I also been giving it a rooster booster ground up for extra niacin. Not sure what else to really do with it other than wait and see if it reacts to this.

Does your TC have the new tower brooders set up? I've been seeing a lot of folks talking about how they're getting a *lot* more sick birds/seeing sick or dead birds in the new design
