My little duckling only has one eye. I’m not sure if it lost it from injury or from birth defect but I went to TSC and bought 3 Peking ducks this summer. I raised them in a tote with chickens and noticed it would continually spin in circles while the others just would look at me if I was getting them food or water. I’ve been acclimating them to the pond and being outside but all it does is spin in circles and seems to have a very difficult time swimming/walking on land at all times. Have anyone else dealt with this before. The other ducks are reluctant to leave it behind but seem to want to explore and I just worry about predators if it can’t figure things out. I could always throw it in the chicken coup but then it wouldn’t be able to swim and whatnot which is part of the fun of having ducks.

I had a rooster with one eye, but he got around just fine and was happy.
could you post a pic?

Really sad to hear, you have to take a lot of care now. From the look of it seems to be natural.

Yeah I feel bad for him. I’m just keeping an eye but I’m more inclined to put him in with the hens and just let him out during the day. Until winter hits and the pond freezes over I let them sleep where they like. Once they don’t have an escape from danger they winter in the coup with the rest of the flock in the house where it’s nice and warm. Michigan winters get chilly!
