I thought of this idea and just wanted to be sure it wasn't dumb or would hurt my ducks in any way, but I don't think it would lol. I was thinking about making a block of ice filled with peas. I'd just keep layering and freezing it repeatedly. They love peas and I was thinking they might be entertained with picking at it as it slowly melts. What do you think?

it's not a bad idea, but how much water are you using? the water will melt, and if you have a wooden coop that could cause mold or mildew, which would be bad. may i suggest a mirror? most ducks are interested in that sort of thing.

Ducks love icebombs, just freeze it plastic bags or plastic yogurt-cups. I use to drop it in their pond, it swims on the water surface and the birds play water-polo with it. You can teach them hide-and-seek too (it is you who will be hiding and calling them with some treats in hand), useful game, when you can't find them in the garden they run to you if you play it enough.

Snailjump is good too, just find some snails and hold it above the ducks head - they can jump.

I have a large duck coop that has a concrete floor so the molding wouldn't be an issue. There's only two ducks and they have plenty of space. I set their water jug inside of a tin pan, one you would use to cook a turkey, which helps to catch most of what they shoot out of their mouths when they drink. I figure I could set it in there so help catch some of the melting stuff. Or just put it in their pool like the previous person suggested. I might get a mirror too. That might be interesting lol

In their pool would be a good idea. you'll have to posts pics of them having fun with it.

Lol...I have a small blue rubber ball that mine are terrified of. So I'm not sure if a rubber duck would go over well. I found a plastic egg in the coop and they love pushing it around in the pool and try to eat it all the time.

My 4 Pekins love to ring bells! I bought two pair of cloth dice for 40 cents each @ hallmark on the back discount shelve. I tied a bell to each pair & the rest is history!! Our ducks will charge the dice, nibble the dice, and try to out ring eachother. They also love this Infantino baby toy I found at a Good Will! It has cloth, beads, and a rattle type ring on it! I have a green piece of chicken wire with stakes that divide ( give our 2 males a bit of space) where I hang the dice.:D

i got small dog treat balls for mine fill it up and watch the duck have fun . my drake loved a babble ball which when he pushed it it said things and made noises. he also liked a parrot toy only because he could rattle it so he could get your attention very quickly lol we all hated that noise
