My ducks absolutely love chopped tomatoes fresh from the garden. There second choice is an overripe cucumber that's nice an juicy. I step on it and break it apart and my 3 ducks go crazy over it. They also love lizards but they have to catch those on their own!

While we feed our babies free range style with their duck food we supplement with fresh steamed veggies but their ultimate favorites are watermellon and cheerios. The cheerios float on their pond and they love to 'attack' them ... watermellon is fantsatic entertainment too!

WATERMELON. corn, peas, squash, tomatoes, RAMEN NOODLES!
Some where I heard that unflavored RAMEN NOODLES should be a rare treat for ducks.
So try to keep that at a minumum I think!

(I might be wrong so you can look it up if you want!)

Mallards in particular go crazy for mealworms...I read somewhere that they called mealworms "duck crack," and it's true. Just don't give them more than a little now and then...they're too rich in protein and fat to be fed regularly or could cause enteritis (clostridium perfringens...a bad bacteria to grow in the intestine).
