Duck treats

Hello everyone, quick question. Ever since I started giving my duck treats they hardly touch their duck feed now. I only give them a small bowl of mix veggies like (peas,tomatoes,corn) once in the morning and once at night. Sometimes throughout the day I will give them a few lettuces peices when they are swimming as well. I know it’s not lost of appetite because they eat the veggies within seconds. Should I reduce the amount of treats I am giving them?

P.s: My ducks are about a month and a half.

Their treats should make up about 10% of their diet, so i would try cutting down on the treats and see if they start to eat more of the feed. If they do, then it probably means they were filling up on treats!

Do you have an avarage of how much that should be? Like 8oz 16oz?

It depends on their size and breed. The average duck eats about 7 to 8oz in a day so i would say only 1 to 2oz per duck each day. I’m no expert and my mallards are free range so i don’t feed them too many treats.
