My house, built in 1920, has a coal room in the basement with a window. It's next to the chimney and furnace. It had already been converted to oil in 1950, and I converted to natural gas in 2015. But I never took down the walls for that room.

I'm so old I remember when no one used an antivirus program on their computers as there were no virus problems. Then Stealth virus hit the computer lab at the community college I was working at and we gave away floppy discs to students to disinfect their private computers.

I am so old I remember when the internet first became available to the general public and I got my first mobile phone.

Life was not constantly interrupted by the mobile phone, people calling and texting me for no apparent reasons..and even in the toilet I still hear the beeping sound of the mobile text message.

The only news one get was from reading daily newspaper and watching the news on tv at 6am and 6pm.

I remember $1.50 a box and people would tell us that was outrageous.
Girl Scouts still sell door to door, but are supposed to have an adult with them.

I'm so old I have you both beat, I remember selling GS cookies door to door for 50 cents per box.

Our 3 girls all sold Girl Scout Cookies, the girls are now in their 50's. When they were taking orders they would stick together and take turns on the orders.
I would go with them to deliver and collect the money. So many people would say they never ordered the cookies and refuse to pay. That ment we would be stuck with the cookies and had to pay for them. We ate Girl Scott Cookies for months!
