Hi,
I have 5-6 week old chicks from Hoover Hatchery that I am beginning to worry two of them might be cockerels. One is a Barred Rock, I am thinking it may be a cock because it is significantly lighter and its' comb is much more visible and redder than the other BR's. The other one I can't tell if it is a Starlight Green Egger or a Cinnamon Queen. Since both breeds are hybrids I am a bit stumped. I am worried that this one is a rooster is because its' comb is also big and red. I found a photo of a rooster CQ from Cackle, that looks pretty similar to it. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, thank you!

The neck feathers are darker and there is brown on the wings.

I've had cinnamon queen that are mainly red like yours, and SGE that are red and white like yours. They look normal and female.

Barred rock is male. SGE and CQ, from what I can tell of the CQ, are female.
These guys are male, not sure if they're yours or examples:

Are you asking about that gray chick? Really hard to tell because the picture is small. This is the gray chick I'm talking about:

Its comb looks larger and red, if I'd have to guess I'd say male, since you also seem to be pointing out male specific red on its wings. But REALLY need a better couple pictures of this bird, its wings, and it's head with comb in some good lighting.
