Okay I'll just wait it out to see how he doing
Other than more work in taking care of him, if he is still eating and drinking and doesn't seem depressed[given up] then it sure can't hurt.

here are a few pics does the foot look anything like these ? http://www.rims.net/Bumblefoot/

Bumblefoot is Pododermatitis in technical terms .. it is a staph infection. Left untreated it can cause permanent arthritis in birds and even septicemia resulting in the death of the bird. Because of the larger size of ducks and geese and heavier load (weight) on the feet, it can become an extremely nasty situation to deal with and clear up.

DUCK NUTRITION
Most folks feed general poultry feed to their ducks. The problem with this is that, general poultry feed is formulated for chickens, not ducks. Because ducks have much higher requirements for niacin and thiamin than chickens, you must supplement. Use powdered milk and yeast. Or succulent greens. You can let your ducks graze on young and tender grass and other greens. They will not eat older tough stuff. (This makes ducks useful for weeding gardens with established desirable plants.)

A common duck ailment is bumble-foot where the bottom of the foot swells and cracks. This is a nutritional (thiamine) deficiency disease. Supplement and it rapidly goes away.

Specific duck feed is available, but not stocked in many feed stores. However, you can always get it special ordered. Then, you won’t have to worry about supplementation. Feed adults pellets, not crumble. They can pick it up easier. Much less wastage and overall they seem to do better on it.

I found this when looking up other meds to treat bumble foot, and since this seems to have spread in his leg and joint I feel I should share this,

Well I looked at the pics and it does not look like that at all but hewy is trying to walk a little more

I have some questions. Did this start out as Bumble foot? If so how did you treat? the reason I am asking is I think I spoke with you before, but can't remember for sure. Do you have any updated pictures of the foot? What kind of duck is this, Grand Pekin? And please, the age of him.

That's great news. just don't let him over do, keep up with the water therapy and are you using the iodine? what day did you start that? and Haunted had a Pekin with bumble so hopefully she can add some thoughts here.

Yes haunted this started out as Bumblefoot because I noticed a black spot on his foot and it was quite big then I had started him on Epsom salt then 5 days of amoxicillin then I took out the Bumblefoot and I cleaned it and it healed good and but he couldn't walk still and I'll post pictures of his foot right now and yea he's a jumbo pekin and he is 9 months
