Okay first of all don't let her drag herself all over the floor scraping her foot okay it could be an infection or the duck is lacking nutrition

Drew ducks is right, looks like infection in the joint of her knees for lack of a better word. keep her on something soft like old clean towels and use somekind of triple antibiotic on her open places but make sure it doesn't have pain relief in it that ends in caine. She really needs to see a vet especially if this just started. Explain please when you got lil one what she eats, what she is walking on/sleeping on. and she may need to go on oral antibiotics to prevent her from permanently going lame. we just need as much info as you can give us. In the mean time start soaking her legs in some warm Epsom salt water just a small bowl filled and let her sit in it with you holding her so she doesn't drink the water since ES works as a laxative also, 1/2 cup to 1qt warm water soak her legs for 15min 2X aday to start. Es can help being down swelling and draw infection out.

I think drew ducks makes a good point and I would recommend the same as Miss Lydia. The duckling needs good nutrition, antibiotic (start with the topical as ML said, may need oral), a vet would be best a.s.a.p., I would let her swim in plain warm (80F) water deep enough to float in - do not leave ducklings unattended in water they could drown. Floating will take weight off the legs and give them some relief, and will help circulation and stretch and strengthen muscles.

I would get poultry vitamins with electrolytes and probiotics and start putting that in her water at the recommended mix of powder and water, twice a week.

Also if she is does keeps dragging her herself just use vet wrap or cloth and wrap it around her joint so she can't scrap anymore skin off I think you should start going her oral antibiotics before the infection gets worse

Okay hewy update he seems to be doin really good he still takes baby steps but he walks farther than he has ever walked but I noticed that when I took him out of his pond it seemed as if puss was coming out of the scab
