Duck trouble

Side track sec.. i am trying to dig out all the willow trees in and on pond of property renting, after neighbor cut field. for hay and all them down mostly. will the willow roots ect in and around pond hurt the ducks that i haven't found and dug or cut out yet, or poison water they swim and drink? they maybe eating the willow they get at before i do?
Looked it up and here is one link that lists some poisonous plants to ducks/chickens and they don't list willow http://birds.knoji.com/what-plants-are-toxic-for-chickens-and-ducks/

Yea I can't give up on him he keeps on trying everyday and he knows he can do it and I don't care what anyone says I love my ducks they are like dogs :)

Glad to hear hewy is doing so much better. I hope the vet can help with the arthritis on the goose thread an avain vet rec fish oil, for arthritis for a goose so maybe ask the vet about that. Thanks for updating.

Drew Ducks, that is great news. Here's hoping that the Vet will be able to come up with something simple and inexpensive to help him with the pain. I know it's been said here before, but warm baths are a big part in helping with pain and mobility. Ask any of us who are old enough to know the 'joys' of arthritis, heat makes it feel better as does massage. Something I was thinking about...if Huey has a place he sleeps in his house all the time, you could make him a 'heating pad' out of the foil bubblewrap insulation they sell at Home Depot and other building supply places. I'd mount a piece of it to plywood or something so it could be removed easily when cleaning, and put it down where he sleeps. Maybe a small amount of straw over it so he isn't resting right on top of it, but still having the silver showing so it would radiate his own heat back to the affected joints. Simple, relatively cheap and it won't cause a fire.

Okay guys yesterday I took him to the vet and he told us he had some kind of arthritis and he was doing well and he gave me some medicine for 30 days straight and in 2 weeks he has another appointment and if the medicine doesn't help he has to get surgery
