Duck vibrating then jumping

I have a Pacific black duck that I've raised from a duckling. It loves to sleep beside me and usually displays normal behaviour. However I've noticed that occasionally it will vibrate when approaching me (or when approached by me), then jump or lung at me. I've attached a video. To me it looks like it's scared, but I don't know. Any ideas on why it's doing this?

Haha I think that is kinda just trying to show a little dominance and attek your feet. Adorable little duck you have there!

Mine do this a lot too. I’m pretty sure they are attacking for some reason. He did it to one on my ducklings when I introduced them to each other. He also does it when I’m done handing out treats he’s just standing there waiting for more and Just mad and attacks my hand.

Yep that’s a duck fit I think it’s hilarious mine do that when they don’t get there way or are frustrated

It looks like a dominance thing to me too. Mine will sometimes do that to our 2 bigger dogs (who are terrified of them btw )
