Hi community, recently my drake Louis passed away leaving my duck Josie alone. I took some time off to babysit her because she would wail constantly without my company. We decided to get another duck to keep her company rather than hand her off to a farm. Josie is nice and calm now however the new duck won't stop constantly wailing. She is well fed, has her own bath but still shares josie's. She is 9 months old and this is her first winter. Does anyone have advice for a wailing duck? How can I help her

Thank you n happy holidays

Sorry for your loss. How long have you had the new duck?

Sorry about your drake. :hugs I suspect the new duck is just getting used to it's new home and just needs some time to get comfortable. Either that or your new duck is a talker. I've got a young hen who seems to like the sound of her own quack. As long as the duck is acting normal otherwise I would just give it some time and see how things go.

Fancy and speedy love looking in my bathroom mirror. I need to lower it some when i take it down to paint so they dont have to stretch to see. 20171002_201905.jpg
