Duck was attacked

Update: She healed well and is back with her family!!!
I am so happy for you and her to read this. Ducks are amazingly resilient in my experience. With care and good treatment they recover from terrible wounds. Your duck is wonderful testimony to that.

Lessons learned:
It's always worth trying to save a duck with injuries
Keeping the duck quiet, warm enough but not hot, and calm is essential -- a pet carrier in a darkened room is good
always thoroughly clean wounds -- washing out with saline [1tbspoon salt in 1 cup of boiled water and then cooled] is best, but plain tap water is OK in an emergency.
Unless under the care of a veterinarian, I leave wounds open to heal themselves from the bottom outwards. I put in a sliver of a surgical clove rubber as a drain if there is a deep pocket where infection/pus might collect, but otherwise just spray the cleaned up wound with antiseptic. My preferred antiseptic in Kote Blue but iodine/ betadine is good too.

Don't hesitate to give pain killer if the duck is destressed.
Use an antibiotic: Baytril/Enrofloxacin. I use 5mg per pound weight, once a day, given by small plastic syringe [that comes with the Baytril] into the side of the bill, at the side of the tongue
keep the duck well hydrated with oral rehydration solution with added Rooster Booster Poultry cell. The rehydration solution can be made up from sachets bought at the pharmacy or use the bottled solution from the pharmacy.
Encourage eating by offering crumbles/pellets softened with a little warm water and peas or mealworm treats frequently during the day
