Duck water question?

Hello from Mississippi! I will be getting pekin ducks in the spring to raise for meat, and my question has to do with the water in their pen. I have a small pond in my backyard, and my plan is build a coop near the pond with a kiddie pool in the coop. Now, instead of running the water hose to the kiddie pool I was thinking I could rig up some sort of recirculating water system using a water pump and just recirculate the water from my pond to the pool and vice versa. Thoughts?

It might very well be feasible - understand that ducks poop a lot and you would be introducing a lot of fecal material to your pond.
