I just got ducks, and I am wondering what I can use as a waterer. I currently have some half milk jugs, and a kiddy pool, but they aren't efficient, as they aren't always free ranging, and the milk jugs always get knocked over. It needs to be big enough for there head, and small enough for ducklings. Thanks!

I use these and they work great for me, though i don't know how easily ducklings can get to it, mine cant tip it over. They are big enough for them to fit their whole heads underwater, too.
Basically they are just big rubber feed pans.

Now for the ducklings you could put out one like this,

I have one of those outside for the young ducklings because they cannot reach the larger bowls.

Here is what we did for ducklings:

A Rubbermaid tote (with lid off) and make a top of welded wire mesh. Put the waterer on top so the excess water (and food and poo) can fall below into the tote, but the ducklings won't make a mess of the bedding. Voila!
