Duck will not stand

Please help.

My daughter got her way and added 3 babies to our flock. Everything has been wonderful with them all pekings. A couple of days ago they were playing around and one got tangled where its feet became discombobulated around one of the water hoses as their pool was being filled.

The duck wobbled around that day but then has proceeded to just lay around (about 4 days now). Will not lift up on its feet at all.

Our ducks are free range, plus get plenty of starter, bugs, fruits/veggies, cooked rice, etc..

Ive been putting him in and out of the kiddie pool to clean himself; it is hot here. He will move his head around and seems to get along good in the water, will try to keep him in some partial sun to dry off. Then move to shaded areas and keep constant water bowl near by.

We do not have a duck vet anywhere even remotely close as we are in the middle of nowhere, so trying my absolute best here. She will be devastated if we lose this duck but I dont know what else to do.

Are you seeing any swelling any where on the legs or feet?
Could a niacin deficiency have already begun before this and just wasn't so noticeable? Pekins don't have strong legs to begin with and come down with a niacin deficiency pretty quickly thinking maybe get Liquid B complex and start the duckling on it daily just to rule out this. TSC usually carries the Durvet brand it will say injectable but we use it orally a full ml over a small amount of treats like mealworms. you want to make sure this particular duckling gets full dose. Putting it in water for the others is fine but it will be diluted that is why we rec using it full strength for one already showing symptoms. Are you supplementing any kind of niacin along with all your feeding?

If the starter you are using is typically used for chicks it likely needs more niacin. Look over comments from Miss Lydia.

I agree with @Miss Lydia and I would add that you should cut out the cooked rice and minimize the amount of fruits/veggies to just a small treat now and then. Ducks will fill up on rice, their stomachs feel extra full and then they eat less of their actual feed which can lead to deficiencies. Pekins are already prone to deficiencies as @Miss Lydia also stated and giving them rice is only setting them up for failure.
