Duck with a torn web

I have a 4 to 5 week old duckling (not sure how old) and today at some point he torn his webbing. Not a bad one. It is between his outside toe and his middle. I have cleaned it with warm salt water and have put neosporin on it and Im going to put some liquid skin on it. I just want to know if there is anything more that I need to do. And also will it heal or will it always be torn. And will it effect his swimming (its not even half way the webbing). Also I dont think either of the toes are broken so I dont think that I have to worry about that. He is not limping or anything. Let me know what you think and thanks!

Sounds like you have it under control and have done a good job, it should heal back unless part was torn off. I'm not sure if I'd use the new skin though boy does that stuff smart and could also hold in bacteria, might just be best to clean up every eve before bedtime that way it won't be walking around in nasties after you doctor. I like to soak in Epsom salt water then spray with Veterycin. but Neo is good too just make sure whatever you use doesn't have pain relief in it. And

Thanks so much!! I think he is doing pretty good now. He does not act like it bothers him. And a good thing has come out of all of this, he really likes us now. Before he didnt mind being held but he was not crazy about it. But now he is a big baby, he likes to be held and rubbed and loved on. So now I think we are going to take all of them and have some one on one time with them all.
